NAFTA = SHAFTA - IT'S ALL ABOUT MONEY
In 1993 Congress enacted the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), which was signed into Law by President Bill Clinton, and went into effect on January 1, 1994.
With regards to Mexico, the beneficiaries of NAFTA have been Big Business United States Companies. These U.S. Companies moved facilities to Mexico, and took advantage to cheap Mexican Labor. The products were then shipped back to the United States without tariffs.
The net effect of NAFTA has been:
1.) The Big Business U.S. Companies make extremely large profits, and no income tax for Mexican Labor produced goods;
2.) NAFTA did nothing for the deprived economic condition of the Mexican People;
3.) NAFTA did however, take large numbers of American Jobs.
These Big Business Wealthy United States Companies have continued to take American Jobs away to benefit from cheap foreign Labor in other countries, and now lobby Congress and the President to enact the Trans-Pacific Partnership, and Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership, all of which will result in taking away more American Jobs, and boosting profits for the Wealthy Big Business United States Companies.
So what is the purpose of building a Wall ?
